For the next meeting, we will be reading By Chance or Providence by Becky Cloonan.
“BY CHANCE OR PROVIDENCE collects Becky Cloonan’s award-winning trilogy: WOLVES, THE MIRE, and DEMETER, with lush colors by Lee Loughridge and a sketchbook/illustration section. These stories cast a spell of hypnotic melancholy, weaving their way through medieval landscapes of ancient curses and terrible truths that will haunt you long after you’ve set them down.”
All selected reading will be offered at 20% off until the meeting! If you have any questions about the book club, please contact us or stop in and ask!
We’re super hyped to announce we’ll be teaming up with Epicenter again to host another event: Board Game Night!

Comics FTW and Epicenter will be partnering to host another event: Drinks & Dragons!
On this night, we’ll have multiple Dungeon Masters hosting several games of Dungeons & Dragons, for you to drop by and join! Never played D&D before? No worries; this is very much a casual-friendly event! There will be several tables specifically designed to welcome the first-timers and new players. We’ll also have servers on-hand to take food and drink orders from Victory House!
We’ll be hosting all games using D&D 5th Edition. Games will run approximately two hours, and will be designed to be one-shot adventures. Pre-made characters will be provided by each game’s Dungeon Master.

For the next meeting, we will be reading Coyote Doggirl by Lisa Hanawalt.
“An homage to and lampoon of westerns, Coyote Doggirl is a self-aware, playful subversion of tropes, from the producer/production designer of the hit series Bojack Horseman. Coyote is a dreamer and a drama queen, brazen and brave, faithful yet fiercely independent. Together with her trusty steed Red, there’s not much that’s too big for her to bite off, chew up, and spit out right into your face, if you deserve it. But when Coyote and Red find themselves on the run from a trio of vengeful bad dogs, get clobbered by arrows, and are tragically separated, our protagonist is left fighting for her life, and longing for her displaced best friend.”
All selected reading will be offered at 20% off until the meeting! If you have any questions about the book club, please contact us or stop in and ask!

For this meeting we will be reading Upgrade Soul by Ezra Claytan Daniels
“For their 45th anniversary, Hank and Molly Nonnar decide to undergo an experimental procedure that will give them their youth back, but their hopes are dashed when the couple is faced with the results: severely disfigured yet intellectually and physically superior duplicates of themselves. Can the original Hank and Molly coexist in the same world as their clones? In Upgrade Soul, McDuffie Award-winning creator Ezra Claytan Daniels asks probing questions about what shapes our identity-Is it the capability of our minds or the physicality of our bodies? Is a newer, better version of yourself still you? This page-turning graphic novel follows the lives of Hank and Molly as they thrust into a very David Cronenberg-esque life change.”
